Federal Health Care Programs Overpayments Reporting

Tenet has in place processes to handle overpayments, from the point of identifying them, to reporting and issuing repayment as quantified. When an overpayment has been identified, Conifer, Patient Accounting or Tenet’s Managed Care department will report and refund the overpayment to payer within 45 days. If the amount has not been quantified within 45 days, the Tenet facility will notify the payer of the efforts and provide an estimated schedule for completion.
