Performance Management

Tenet employees are expected to meet expectations and standards with Tenet’s policies and procedures, performance of their job duties and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. We use a positive performance management and a progressive corrective action approach for addressing employee’s performance or conduct if it falls short of expectations and standards. The facility has discretion to apply all or some of the recommended steps, and in certain situations may require immediate corrective actions, including termination based on the seriousness of the issue and the employee’s willingness or ability to improve. HR provides guidance and support in all aspects of the performance management and corrective action process.
This may not apply, in part or in its entirety, to employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Those employees should consult their facility HR leader to determine the impact, if any, of their collective bargaining agreement on this topic and policy.
