Corrective, Remedial, Disciplinary Action for Violation of Compliance Standards
Corrective Disciplinary Actions Remedial
If an employee or contractor does not comply with any part of Tenet’s Standards of Conduct, policies and procedures and legal or regulatory requirements, then corrective, remedial or disciplinary actions are needed to address these issues. After a potential violation is reported, an investigation takes place to substantiate the issue and to develop a corrective action plan. The corrective, remedial or disciplinary actions are determined and incorporated into performance management, training or disciplinary action.
If an employee becomes aware of a possible violation of any part of the Compliance Standards, they must report it as soon as possible and they may report violations without fear of reprisal or retaliation. Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement should consult their facility HR leader to determine how this policy is reflected in their agreement. HR works with departments to ensure disciplinary and remedial policies are enforced consistently and fairly.
