Retaliation

Retaliation is a serious violation of Tenet’s Standards of Conduct and may be a violation of law. Tenet does not tolerate retaliation of any kind. All personnel have a responsibility to foster a work environment where anyone can raise concerns, discuss them openly and report without fear of retribution. HR is sensitive to employee concerns regarding perceived or alleged retaliation and provides guidance and counseling to all employees regarding the handling of these types of claims. Management is responsible for ensuring that retaliation of any kind is not tolerated.
This may not apply, in part or in its entirety, to employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Those employees should consult their facility HR leader to determine the impact, if any, of their collective bargaining agreement on this topic and policy.
Engaging in retaliation is subject to corrective action, up to and including termination of employment of the responsible individual.
