Internal Reporting of Potential Compliance Matters
Compliance Matters Reporting
As soon as any Tenet employee becomes aware of a potential compliance issue, they must report it to an immediate supervisor, department director or compliance officer or legal counsel assigned to their facility. Another option for reporting potential compliance issues is through the Ethics Action Line (EAL) which is a toll-free telephone number available 24 hours a day to report or get guidance on potential compliance issues. An employee who reports a potential compliance matter may choose to remain anonymous where allowed by law. Retaliation for reporting is strictly prohibited and discipline for any retaliation will be pursued.
If a notice of a government investigation is received, those must be reported directly to Tenet’s Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Government Litigation and the facility’s Compliance Officer. Any possible violation of criminal, civil, or administrative law are quickly investigated, documented and corrective actions performed.
